Happy Birthday Kristin! You were taken from this Earth way too soon. I wish you were here to shine your love on everyone. To this day, I've yet to meet anyone whose soul radiates such warmth and beauty as yours does, and it kills me to know someone took that away from us, and is still walking the same streets as us.
Positive energy always emanated from Kristin. It never ceased to amaze me how her mere presence would bring so much love and happiness to everyone she met. Her optimistic, playful nature was almost childlike in that she wasn't even in the least bit jaded from the hatred, crime, and malevolence surrounding her. These traits magnetized people toward Kristin. She had such a special way with people. She could make everybody smile. Children especially loved Kristin. If you knew her, you'd understand why.
Kristin became so much a part of my life that I felt as though she was 'my other half,' as people so frequently called her. I've had many meaningful friendships with people over the years, but none have even remotely compared to that which I shared with Kristin. I cannot even begin to express in words the special connection we shared. We shared everything from clothes to makeup to jewelry to shoes to guys to...yes, even underwear! But that's not the connection I'm speaking of, of course. Spiritually speaking, I can honestly say to this day, I've never been as close to anybody in my life. Kristin is by far the most strong-willed, beautifully spirited woman I've ever had the privilege of knowing. She taught me so much about life. She taught me to live life to its fullest, to be spontaneous and independent, to never let anything let me down, to accept people for who they are, and most importantly, to love life. She served as an excellent role model to me.
January 28th is a special day for me. It serves as a reminder to treat people as lovingly as Kristin did, to love as Kristin did, and to never forget the beautiful, loving, amazing Kristin Laurite. Happy Birthday, Sweetie. I love you!
Love,
Susan
