Kristin A. Laurite born January 28, 1975
"This Birthday my daughter, Kristin, would have been 30 years old. It's been almost 4 ½ years now since her murder.

I still wake up each and every day with the agony of realizing that Kristin is gone. I have learned to survive without her, but my life does not have the same meaning that it had when she was alive. Yet, I am deeply grateful for the wonderful memories of my daughter that I will always cherish.

I am very fortunate that Kristin's friends have stayed in touch and have included me in the special times of their lives. I am sincerely thankful for the love and support they have given to me. They, too, have been greatly affected by her senseless murder and have suffered tremendous emotional pain.

Kristin's two dogs, Sativa and Winter, are still with me and doing fine. They keep me very busy, which is a blessing. Kristin loved them dearly, as do I. They definitely have been instrumental in my survival.

Although my daughter's killer has not been found, we are still hopeful and will never give up the search. Again, I would like to thank all those involved in helping to solve her murder, especially Sergeant Mark Hollingsworth of the Arkansas State Police. His dedication and determination to find her killer is admirable and heartwarming.

I would also like to thank everyone who has written to Kristin's website with such endearing words of encouragement and support. I am comforted by your genuine compassion. Each one of you has touched my heart and I am truly grateful.

Hopefully by next year, Kristin's murderer will be caught so that no other family will have to endure such pain."
